• Salena jones

I found some quite good stuff during this weekend among other things:

John Schroeder -working in the soulmine
Doug Carn feat Jean Carn -spirit of the new land
Daimi (danish version of fever)
JB promo 45 on King (which is quite unusual in Denmark)
Salena Jones -this 'n that

However I have some questions regarding the Salena Jones. I know she did other lps but which ones are the the ones to pick up? And what's up with the polish one? Is that exclusive material or did it come out in the UK aswell?

Thanks,

Dres

Syncronicity time - I found one of these this weekend too & signed by the lady herself!

I think the Polish one IS This n That - could be wrong though.

Mine is signed too but it's kind of hard to read if it says "salena". It could be paula or something like that instead...

Could be wrong? You ARE wrong! It was Moment Of Truth you got, you lucky chap! And that one is the Polish issue...

Now, to find that Dutch 45 of "Am I The Same Girl" - nice trades waiting.

Five copies please Serms, 1 euro each... Making 30 euro total then, with the Zalatnay's?

What does the first pressing of Working in the Soulmine look like? Mine has the photo with the three girls on the cover and some dark green and orange to go along with it.

Can't remember what label?

That's the Picadilly presssing, with the full track listing. The later Marble Arch press uses a different pic from the same photo session with the trad white surround and has a reduced track listing.

Nice find.

Thanks for all the responses. I guess my copy of "working in the soulmine" is OG then. However it's in pretty bad condition...

This weekend I also came across a record on the Redifussion label. I know there's the Bird & Brass lps on there. Can't remember the excact name of the one I found but it was something like "traditional dance music". It was pretty lame...
My question is are the Birds & Brass the only good ones on that label?

Thanks,
