So sad. I never met him in person but I feel that through the forum we kind of know everyone here. I'll be spinning Tinsel Towny tonight.

    My condolences to his family.

Totally shocked. Never met Towny but still have and listen to the first two CDs he sent me during the early 2002 VV swaps. I remember thinking that he'd made up all the artists on the CD as a joke as I had never heard of any of them. Amazing guy.

So sad. I was always struck by how much affection and respect there was on the site for Towny. Incredible knowledge, impeccable taste and clearly a lovely guy.

Just to echo what other people are saying, it would be a great shame if we didn't use his design for the Vulture/VG+ T shirt.

The words still haven't come to me to adequately describe how I feel about such a sad loss, or how much he meant to me.

Needless to say me, Davie and Des couldn't bring ourselves to do the tanners last night with out Towny.

The manager of the Tanners was shocked, and saddened too, and said if we like to do something in his memory at the pub he would be more than willing to help out. So when the dust settles I think we're going to do a tribute night in Towny's honor.

Its Suinday morning.Just found out the sad news and finding it hard to believe. Im just getting ready to go into the local boot sale, somewhere where I would often see Neil rifling through a bunch of 45s and having a joke with someone.
To his nearest and dearest, sincerest condolences

Sad news. As with several others here, I never had the chance to meet him personally but through his presence here he created something that will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Thanks for the music, Towny, RIP.

Towny's been here pretty much since day one. It won't be the same without him. You will be missed by many, mate. Rest in peace.
