Paul, I cant believe you actually did that before bedtime!

    Good boy!

I've made an executive decision to reshuffle my early appointments for work tomorrow so whilst I gots time, lemme say.............................

Great nite as ever although a little thin on the ground, are we finally getting old and tired?

Very nice to catch a few new faces, esp. the Watford crew! Serms, where did you go man, it aint the same without you kid! Always a pleasure talking to Dean, the man is into his weirdness. And Cal for a short but nasty set, we gotta link!

Worth the long, long tube ride alone for Nancy Holloway into Hawkwind as Big Nick made for the the door.........and thanks Rich for putting up with a shoddy, drunken attempt to sink us into immediate DJ obscurity!

Finally, massive respect to Hayd for theeeeeeeeeeee classiest retort to the nubile one who felt the need to share her birthday with us! Word on word brother!

Peace to the man they call Haydn!
    it's time for some heartbeats

Another good one last night I thought.

Great to catch up with old friends and meet some new faces into the bargain such as:

(Duke) Jim - worth it for the tales of him DJing in the 70's providing an aural (oral?&#33 soundtrack to compliment the gentlemans interest films Jim projected behind him.

70's Kid & Peter Sundae - Nice to finally meet these site stalwarts in the flesh. 70's Kid wins the best haircut of the night award hands down. Lovely fellas, hopefully they can bring some tunes to the next one?

Finally my sincere apologies to Bongolia for suggesting to the young drunken harpie that she request he play 'Lolas Theme' because its one of his favourite records......
He also contributed songs for the Jim Henson movie vehicle 'Muppets From Space'.

          Yes, once again, top nite.

I bumped into original 80s rare groove don Des Parkes on the way home (he comped the wicked RCA "Rare" series of yesteryear). Record collectors eh? They're every bleeding where.

            eh????

anyway, i tormented the (underage? or am i just getting old? ) unruly gaggle who arrived at 11pm with what i'd bought the last couple of weekends, viz:

Temple City Kazoo Orchestra - 2001 Sprach Kazoostra (Rhino)
Chaino - The Jungle Chase (Mecca)
Jonas Gwangwa & African Explosion - African Sausage (Jamal)
Jubilee Stompers - Niah Walk (Hallmark(&#33)
The Fugitives - Cantelope Rock (Doctor Bird)
Sam & Kitty - Don't Hit On Me (4 Brothers)
Andre Williams - Rib Tips (Avin)
            Jerry-O - The Pearl (Shout)
George Freeman - You're Guilty (Valiant)
Mod Lads & Mod Singers - Let's Have Some Fun (Savern)
Bunny Sigler - Can You Dig It (Cameo Parkway)
Bettye Swann - Lonely Love (Money)
            Otis Clay - I Testify (One-derful)
Erma Franklin - Big Boss Man (Shout)
            Billy Stewart - Summertime (Chess)
Harvey Farquart Express - The Snake (Peon)
            Esther Phillips - Fever (Kudu)
Fleetwood Mac - Keep On Going

and then they complained when i stopped at 12 to escape (this after all the crap requests 'It's my birthday...' etc)

nice to meet some more board members too!

.. I have been soooo tempted to get a party / mixtape started with this cheeky version ! Never quite had the balls to do it !

If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

It is Sandi Shore - the Canadian version, and the other (also Canadian artist) is Roger Simard.

Damn late night bus replacement services, left early (10:15) from the S&C and didn't get home until 01:30

But James T likes to see the playlist first so that he can get digging in his local charities before anyone else scoops the hot jizzoints...
