  • Country + e = shoom

Was the country soul of "I Hate Hate" by Raze a popular tune at Shoom? I only ask because Danny covered this song with the short-lived 'Sound of Shoom'.

I think you're confusing your Razes with your Razzys.

    Break 4 Love: Raze
    I Hate Hate: Razzy.
    Big knockers: Razzle.

      Don't call it a comeback... H, N, and the number 7.

I never went but I understand that it did get played. It's certainly associated with that general milieu.

It also got played at southern soulboy dos in the 70s, and in the 80s at things like Special Branch (with which Rampling, Holloway, etc were associated).

I found another version by another country artist. Can't remember who but the LP cover is a photograph of ropes. If you ever see it don't bother- it's bobbins.
