And isn't there a Larry Graham LP that gives God an executive producers credit.

                    Ohhh aye -

That Clarence Smith is a killer.

The one quality Andrae Crouch and the Disciples to get is 'You better leave that devil alone'.

The Sons of Truth got some soul going on.

Marion Gaines is nice as is the Howard Lemon Singers.

The Henry Jackson Company are worth a check, and of course the God Squad album on Rare Earth is OK.

The heavy 45's to look for though are the Shackleford Singers, which is good, but sounded like it was recorded in a rubbish bin.

The *real* heavy one is Wayne Spence and the Smilin' Faces - Thank God for Peace on Peace records. Tough as a bag of spanners and uber rare.

here's a mix of Kerazee godbotherers I did about a year ago:

Particular favourites which i draw on are a B&W private press called The Toronto Mass and one called The Armageddon Experience.

That said I have waded through so many dodgy folk-mass records its not true. I've almost given up at this stage having had to get rid of so many bad records I've paid actual money for 'cos they stink.

The Medical Mission Sisters have some decent folky bits that are slightly warped and scary as opposed to just sacharine.
