Very sad news.

Although he had long stopped writing for Blues & Soul when I started buying it in 1984, I have read my friends B&S's from the 70's and always enjoyed his columns.

The guy did it all and unlike most people on the soul scene was very humble about it too, prefering to promote the music above his own self interests.

I have had to reach for the dictionary when reading his stuff though!

A very great loss.....
