  • Hassles "4 o'clock in the morning"

Are the LP ("Hour of the Wolf&quot and 45 versions of this song different?

I mean like: really quite substantially different?

Just got the 45 version recently and while it's not bad, it's not the song I was looking for. I've been caught out by this sort of thing before (bought the wrong version of the Adventurers OST!!! ) ... but in this case I'd checked that it was the song I wanted by listening to some RealAudio bites of a recent Hassles CD re-ish...

I just want to confirm what's up before I go hunting for "Hour of the Wolf"...

Sorry, don't know if the 45 version is different from the LP, but the ONLY reason to find the LP is the song 3 O'Clock In The Morning. The rest isn't that good.

Hmmm, well, the version I'm looking for I originally heard on the AEIOU Beats #1 mixtape if that's any help.

It's kind of driven by acoustic piano. Whereas the 45 I have has the same lyrics but is arranged completely differently and has a different melody in a different key... itstarts off sounding like 60s vocal group nonsense but has a cool instrumental bridge in the middle (which musically sounds a bit more similar to the version I'm after - i.e. same/similar key - but still very different in terms of instrumentation/production sound).
