Very satisfying execution on this one, I think. Even the stereo speakers are "hi" up.

This one was mentioned a while back, but never received it's rightful place in this thread.

Another cover executed in hugely satisfying manner by Ted. He hasn't hit a single hit, and his expression, which combines mild disbelief at how shit an archer he is with a rueful smile, is perfect. He even appears to be wearing some kind of archery wristband

Are you sure he's not really a superb archer? He's put six arrows onto a piece of the target heavily loaded with nine hit titles and managed to hit the only blank spaces available on that part of the target. The blank space is narrower than the titled space so it's taken some skill to land in it.

You know, I think you're right. He deliberately had to miss the hits, or the album would have needed a different title. Now I see that his expression is one of quiet satisfaction at a magnificent piece of marksmanship, and the wristband only emphasises his deep commitment to archery. Ted was clearly supremely gifted with both baton and bow.

Puns are not as common in Spanish record titles, and if this is an example, then it's hardly surprising. A bocadillo is a filled roll sandwich, but a bocadisco is a sandwich full of 45s garnished with raw onion, lettuce and mayonaisse. I think it's called bocaaaadiscooooo simply because it was announced on the radio, and Spanish radio announcers like to treat things like last minute goals in major tournaments.

The other side shows the vinyl crumbs that remain after you've finished your bocadisco and smoked a Ducados.

I like this - the rear sleeve elevates what is not a great initial idea, shows proper dedication to the theme.

                          • Also a reference to the before and after cake eating on Let It Bleed. There must be lots of these sleeves out there: where a narrative is implied between the front and the back.

                              I like this one:

Also there's the "empty glasses and artist left the room" style, like Labi Siffre "Remember My Song" (going by his face on the front, left the room in a grump)

On the inside gatefold sleeve of Isaac Hayes' Juicy Fruit everyone's knickers have fallen down!
