It's been a while since I did a proper finds post, my roomate lent me his digital camera so I took some random pics of some records that were lying around... hope you enjoy... this is a random cross section of the 1300 records I've bought since I been in Japan...

peace.

I think I paid $15 for it. It was mint, there's a less sexy copy for the same price at a local spot...

peace.

The Gorilla Seven 7" is the theme from the Japanese TV show that Sony Chiba was in. Sounds like "Funky Stuff"... good shit!

peace.

What are prices like in Japan now that the yen is struggling? How do they compare to say London?

prices are very nice, cheap, cheaper than the US if you know where to look... a lot of $1-5 stuff, also $10+ and some trades too.... still, cheaper than the bay, cheaper than market value for most things! Time for some of ya'll to make a trip out here. bboyparkz was out here and cold cleaned up!

peace.

I would say if you have the time and really search around (like Sheep) you could find stuff far cheaper than London.
I was buying decent mid 80Â’s hip hop 12Â’s for around a fiver a piece, in London IÂ’m sure these would be double.
I bought a De Wolf Library (The one with Drum Time on it) from a specialist dealer/shop right in shibuya and it cost about £8. Now I know this isn’t really an expensive library but I don’t believe you could go into an equivalent shop in London (say Jazzman or intoxica) and see it for £8.

Tony Arzenta!

Have to agree with the above, Japan is the best place I've been to for records (and nearly anything else). Well worth saving your pennies and heading out that way.
