  • Jam Up My Battenburg

    People,
I'm as ever diggin' for the weird and wonderful and one of my maxims is that everybody got a good track. You know how some oddities pop up on savvy comps and wot not and the crew are 'WHO!?!'
Tom Jones, Sammy D et al are the starters for ten. I reckon Brucey F got a swinger in there somewhere coz the cat cooks much in the same way as Sammy D. I been talking with a few mates who assure me that Mr Forsyth got a couple of albums out there that got one or two killers on them but i aint been able to dig anything out yet.................does anybody know of Bruceys big club funker?

Nice to funk you to funk you nice

I recently stumbled upon one of Bruce’s albums and its contain a version of Barry’s ‘Love Theme’.
I did resist temptation and didn’t cop it, but now curiosity is getting the better of me I might well splash out the £2 if its still there.

bastard funk? is this a new genre like the legendary lesbian funk?

are there other untapped sources of minority funk? dwarf funk? monk funk?
