Guys, I'm going to a wedding in New Orleans in April, my flight stops off in Boston on the way back, I have the option of spending a couple of days there if I like. Anyone know what the record shops are like there? Oh and what about New Orleans, any recommendations, Cheers

boston shops are good although don't expect amazing finds. plenty of soul strut heads are based up there so get in touch with them. also check cambridge (over the river from boston) as there are some spots there, like the legendary (and well dug over) Skippy White's cellar.http://www.blaxploitation.com
Chops for show, groove for dough.

you can start in boston and then go to cambridge along mass ave. almost all of the record shops are on that one street. the best place is stereo jack's in cambridge. cheapo's is probably 2nd best in central square cambridge. In Your Ear on commonwealth out by Boston Univ. also has a lot of 45s. Thankfully all the shops are next to subway stops so if you don't have a care you can still hit everything.
