Funk/soul band in Dorset?

Me and the little lady finally got engaged over Christmas, and although we won't be getting married until 2006 we thought we'd do as much research as possible whilst we're still in the excited phase!

We're pretty keen on having a funk/soul covers band, and I thought the best place to go for recommendations, etc would be the fount of all knowledge that is the VV forum. Does anyone know of any bands like this in the Poole/Bournemouth/Southampton area?
