  • Quick Licorice Soul update... LSD007 info

quick update on what's been happening at Licorice Soul - we're down to under 10 copies each left of LSD004 Roundtable and LSD005 Studio G's Beat Group so grab 'em quick if you need them.

still a few LSD006LP 101 Strings LPs available if you need them too.

on to the new material - the single originally scheduled for release as LSD005 has been bumped again while we get a better master (we're anal about sound quality where we can improve it)

so the next release will be LSD007, a 45. cracking UK cabaret funk at its best - a lovely femme funk 2-sider with that distinctive British musical accent. heavy rhythm section with a tasty small brass section, mastered directly from the original tapes. trainspotters may know that the artist in question later went on to have a successful TV career in the 70s and 80s... any guesses? LSD007 release date should be mid-March.

after that, more singles and at least a couple of albums in the pipeline... the site may have been quiet but we've been busy...

big thanks to The Trip's Jazzman Jim down in Reading for recommending this one to us.

Not hit by lightning, but falling from a roof trying to fix hs TV aerial. While watching his 'beloved' Manchester United play in the 'Champions' League final.

So as not to offend Ben, I'm not adding any further comments.

            nice!

on an unrelated note, are we no longer baiting Man U fans as they are probably the most credible challenge to the league-leaders and we don't want the Premiership all-over before Easter ??
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

              Don't call it a comeback... H, N, and the number 7.
              Ok, it's a bit of a comeback, I suppose...

Don't get me started on U****d... But tying the two bits of this thread together, I've got a Bristol Rovers 7" by Rod Hull and Emu. It CAN'T be that can it?!?!?
