      Mix of styles here:

      Arcon 2 - 'The Beckoning'

      Wisp - 'Sceadugenga'

      Current Value - 'Dark Rain'

      Wagon Christ - 'King's Lyn'

Soundmurderer & SK1 - 'Dangerous' sounds like a period piece, then around 2.20 it goes bonkers.

      Amon Tobin - 'Chomp Samba'

      Black Sun Empire - 'Arrakis'

Qemists - 'Your Revolution' Reso remix

Gangpol & Mit - '1000 People Band Part 1' least D&B track here but you'll hear why it's included.

An airy one to finish with - Rawtekk - 'Snowflakes'

There are many interesting things here, thanks.

In particular Plug and that Ruby My Dear, along wuth Aphex Twin and Squarepusher that also briefly passed through my consciousness back in my 20s.

Maybe what I'm after is more what appears to be called breakcore than d'n'b? I don't know...

I just remembered one of the CDs (I may still have somewhere in the basement or something) that really blew my mind when I listened to it. The first two tracks on the record are great, with so extensive sampling from X-Ray Spex and Motley Crue respectively - they're in part almost like remixes:

"Only one thought left, that makes me come alive,
and that is you and me side by side, on the licorice ride"

Breakcore, couple of good things to check

Doormouse and anything on the US addict or distort labels, also check the I Heart series (kraftwerk, polka, rap)
Kid606 (earlier stuff) and stuff on the tigerbeat6 label

Cool, I'd be up for that, got loads of UK underground dance/electronic stuff. 2 Step Garage, House, D+B.
Plus shedloads of Detroit and US Techno/House/Electronica. German/Euro/UK Ambient etc etc...

                      Exactly! The same here.
I don't think there are many people who are/were really into Jungle/D&B that like breakcore, but I might be wrong.

Always dug this sort of thing perhaps more at the jazzier (sometimes) 'Squarepusher' end of things but you cant help but admire the sheer work that goes into something like the sort of thing 'Venetian Snares' produces.
