  • Another question about a few other tunes...

Another post hoping to save valuable time putting together sleeve notes for an LP, by dipping into the VV well of knowledge and all that:

I need to find out the original author credit and their publishing, plus body (BMI, ASCAP, MCPS etc) to the following tunes. If anyone has these records close at hand, maybe you could take a peek at the label and see what it says?

See & Don’t See (Marie ‘Queenie’ Lyons)

    Salt Popcorn/Dikalo – (Manu Dibango)

It’s Your Thing (Isley Bros) – just need the publishing (Triple Three BMI?)

Hey Pocky A-Way (Meters) – just need the publishing (Marsaint?)

    Teenage Kicks (Undertones)

Funky Booty (James Young & The Housewreckers) – it may be better to check the author/pub for Mr Big Stuff by Jean Knight, written by Ralph Williams, as I think this is a inst cover of that tune, though it may not acknowledge that fact on the 45.

Many thanks indeed to anyone with any amswers!

I have the Teenage Kicks 7-inch right in front of me. I believe this came out twice, once on Good Vibrations and then again on Sire, but I can't remember for sure. The one I have on Good Vibrations (with fold around poster, natch) simply says: Good Vibes Music (P) 1978 and the cat. no. is GOT 4.

... Nick - I can help you with the Queenie Lyons, Isley Brothers, Meters and James Young - if this post is still relevant - call you tonight ??
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.
