  • What’s this tune I’m thinking of Vg+ pop-pickers?

What’s this tune I’m thinking of? It was about 1988 or 1989. An indie track. The pretty basic video was in black and white and the artistes boy and girl indie-kids, both about 20, sitting on a box, with a white screen background. The lad was playing a semi-acoustic. They both sang but the model-ly girl was more upfront. The chorus of the tune ran thusly-

'How do you think I feel-
How do you think I feel-
How do you think I feel right now?'

Before you ask, it wasn't the Lou Reed tune. It was probably a North-West (England) group though I’m not definite. I think it was on a low-budget Granada TV pop show. Clever Google searches can't sort it so I'm turning to you. Gee, you guys are the best.

Thanks sie-fly, that's a useful distinction, it was slightly leaning towards twee, but not really. It was melodic, there were chord changes and everything.

Someone is just going to know it.

It's not Ultra Vivid Scene - Special One, is it?

That's it! Thanks so much Plainstone. I knew someone would know it. As soon as I heard the phrase 'Ultra Vivid Scene' I thought By George, he's got it.

I can't believe Kim Deal is the girl in question, but at that time I wouldn't have known who Kim Deal was. She's definitely exuding something in that film, call it charisma, call it je ne sais quo, call it what you will.

I want to thank each and every one of you that made this possible.
