  • A new option for US purchases given the new harsh customs regime

I collected a parcel from the US at my local sorting office this morning. I noticed that the customs form had several options other than gift and merchandise including "humanitarian donation".

Though I'm not sure it'll save you the import tarriffs and may raise more questions than it answers.

Given your experience in the other thread I'd say someone sending you a good record for less than 8 euros would qualify as a "humanitarian donation"

If you can afford them. Awhile back I saw someone post the lp priced for $30 in some shop.

I recently chanced upon "Karma Chameleon" (7" version, you know, the usual one, not gold plated or owt) priced up at a cool £4.99, complete with ragged sleeve that looked like it had gone through a washing machine at some point.

Somehow I managed to resist the temptation.

Just to recap. That's "Karma Chameleon". THE "Karma Chameleon". FIVE QUID.

The world's gone mad, I tell ya.
