  • Given 300+ records... Going to give unwanted ones away, any interest here?

Apologies if I've posted in the wrong forum, but I wasn't quite sure where to put this!

As the title suggests, I have been given over 300 records, mainly LPs. There is a mix of stuff but the majority seems to be either classical or easy listening. Off the top of my head, there's stuff by Ray Conniff, Tom Jones, James Last, Phase 4 Stereo, and lots more besides.

I'm yet to go through all of them, but I know there's a lot of stuff there I won't want to keep and wondered if there'd be any interest in them on here (giving them away, not selling)? I don't want to go to the effort of typing out details of all of them if the answer is "wouldn't touch those with yours, mate". But I'd rather share the love and let people cherry pick the stuff they want before carting the rest down to the local charity shops.

I started adding them to my discogs but then realised it was a mammoth task and stopped, but to give you an idea here are a few of them:

Michel Legrand - The New I Love Paris

Syd Lawrence Orchestra - The Big Band Sounds

The Phase 4 World of Thrillers

    Living Presence Stereo Sampler

    London Philharmonic - Sounds Astounding

So, anyone think they might be interested in a full list?

This is my first proper post. Be gentle.

I'd be interested in a list - that's pretty much what most of my record collection is like anyway!

Just send me the copy of the Moody album, that'll do...
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

I'll start posting them a batch at a time when I get home then...

OK, as I'm sitting in my office and I'm surrounded by a bunch of 45's I got given earlier, I'll post some of these up first... 12"ers to follow when I go downstairs and start sifting through them.

If you want any further info or a pic or something, let me know... Any trade offers would be read with interest, but it's first come, first served. And I hope I'm not out of order by asking the P&P to be covered; I can't afford to post out hundreds of records for nowt!

And I trust you guys to tell me if any of these are worth crazy amounts of money

Most of these have seen better days, I would say.

Hah, it's a virtual charity shop box. I did type out the first pile of LPs last night, then just before I posted them I managed to lose them somehow. So I went to bed instead. I'll get them up tonight though.
