      Fuck Buttons - Slow Focus
      Boards Of Canada- Tomorrows Harvest
      Darkside - Psychic
      A Field in England OST
      Room 237 OST

      Reissues
Rodion GA - The Lost Tapes
William Onyeabor - Who Is William Onyeabor

      In terms of actual listens;
      Shugo Tokumaru - In Focus?
      Michael Nesmith - Loose Salute
      Michael Nesmith - Magnetic South
      Tangerine Dream - Sorcerer OST
Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band - Doc at the Radar Station
Plus an awful lot of Fabio Frizzi, Om and Kate Bush.

      Single of the year
      James Blake - Retrograde

Bit of an odd one given I'm really indifferent to just about everything else I've heard by him.

            Room 237 OST
Savages (surprised myself that I really like this)
            Berberian Sound OST

            12 Others:

            Wolf People - Fain
            Jonathan Wilson - Fanfare

Matthew E. White - Big Inner
            Devendra Banhart - Mala
David Bowie - The Next Day (sorry - but I like it!)
            Mogwai - Les Revenants OST
            Maniac (2013 remake) OST

            New Old Stuff:

Last House On The Left OST

Been listening to a lot of horror soundtracks old and new this year - particular repeat listens to original Carrie and Body Double OSTs - on a Brian De Palma / Pino Donaggio collaboration note.

I'm impressed that I don't know many of the LPs mentioned - shows there's a lot of good new stuff out there

                This year I've enjoyed
                Rhye - Woman
                Quadron - Avalanche
Valerie June - Pushing against a stone
King Krule - 6 Feet Beneath The Moon

Pleased that James Blake won the Mercury, there are some painfully lovely bits in the album.

I thought Melt Yourself Down's LP was great and they were certainly (though it's not a long list) the best band I saw this year by some distance - incredibly energetic and shamanic but not really sing-a-long.
I know your game Lionel! I can see what you really are!

I am jealous. I only heard them a few days ago, on Rough Trade's Best of Year comp, Counter-Culture, and they sound incredible. You can tell straight away they're gonna be amazing live.

BTW - this is quite a fun year end round up of mixtapes.

After some proper thought, all elpees, (as I can't think of any 7s or 12s at the moment) this lot impressed me this year:

Fire! - Without Noticing – (Rune Grammofon)
Fire! Orchestra – Exit! – (Rune Grammofon)
Heidi Harris – Cut The Line – (Inner Ocean)
Sky Needle – Debased Shapes – (Bruit Direct Disques)
Joe McPhee, Thurston Moore, Bill Nace – Last Notes – (Open Mouth)
Jon Mueller – Death Blues – (Taiga Records)
Ruth White – Flowers Of Evil – (Black Mass Rising)
The Space Lady – The Space Lady's Greatest Hits (Night School)
                      Lowered – Lost Seas (Hibernate)
Hanging Up The Moon - The Biggest Lie In The World (Kitchen)
Flowers Must Die - Flowers Must Die (Rev/Vega Records)

some times play g+ with back noise, some times vg , super psyché juju lpfront sleeve is very nice vg back vg , but the top corne left is eating buy rats, ask for picture

Didn't mention reissues but the William Onyeabor one is probably the best I've heard this year.

Lost touch with new stuff a bit this year but my favourite record by some distance was John Grant's "Pale Green Ghosts" album. Honourable mentions for Foxygen, The Soundcarriers, Veronica Falls and mbv.
                            Drastically reduced to 72p

Ooh forgot to mention Francis and The Lights LP, which I thought tremendous, though his best track came out on an EP.

Francis and The Lights - ETC

What's the deal with the Onyeabor pressing? I think I detected some gripes on the sound quality on a high altitude Waxidermy fly by the other day, or are they just hating on it now that it's available to the proles?

and I like the Daft Punk album.... Very high volume helped no end
