        I'm devastated
He's been a hero of mine for many years
Not just a great musician but a deeply spiritual man
Thanks for the wonderful music - I'm sure you've gone to a higher place
        Such a loss
"Record collecting is no mere hobby, no innocuous leisurely diversion. It is a feverish passion bordering on dementia, driving those under the influence to irrational, compulsive, fanatical extremes."

Sad news. Such soulful music and inspiring spirituality. Discovered him via The Blue in 2005 and saw him in concert once at CPH Jazz Festival in 2009. He became one of my favorite jazzers even though he rejected the term jazz in later years.

Thank you for the music, Yusef Lateef. Rest in peace.

So sad, why do these things happen at Christmas? Strength to Doug S. at WFMU who was a friend.
Those who don't yet know? Get with it plenty of great albums.
