Not *always* hated it, but listened to the 900 Number in a shop once and when it got to about the 15 minute mark, I realised that it was a bit repetitive
Perhaps too much of a crossover into pop, but I hated Buffalo Stance and especially the bit where she goes "what's eee like anyway" - arrgh - always made me want to break things!
I like all the above, but I hate White Lines
a) because it´s corny, with that rising harmony line and the choice of Little Jack Horner as a cautionary example of drug use.
b) because it was played to death everywhere and Duran Duran covered it.
c.) Because it´s a Nancy Reagan Just Say No song clearly made by people who have consumed enormous drifts of cocaine.
Doug E Fresh's The Show also got boring very quickly and hasn´t dated well at all.
has to be 'it takes two' by rob base & dj ez rock for me.
could never ever get with it. that annoying sample.
what is yours?
I like it Takes Two, but that Lyn Collins sample is like funky crickets chirping endlessly throughout late 80s/early 90s records.
I was looking up Ninja Man the other day and realised I´d clicked a Steely & Clevie remix before I read it.
