Matt Berry has a new LP coming out on Acid Jazz. 'Music for Insomniacs'. It appears to be 300 copies on blue vinyl signed by the chap himself. Presumably some black 'uns as well. http://www.themattberry.co.uk/music-for-insomniacs/

in the dim and distant past (aka 2010), I stuck Noriel Vilela's killer samba version of Tennessee Ernie Ford's "16 Tons" on my Xmas Swap CD.

Originally issued on a Copacabana compacto, and delivered in an astonishing basso profundo stylee...

it can now be your's for cheap, courtesy of those nice folks at Brazil 45s/Mr Bongo...

        available here!

and the b-side ain't too shabby neither...

Melvins/ Big Business/ Karp Drummers do a Jazz (percussion only) record. Reminds me of Hal Blaine/ Psychedelic Percussion in a way. Took a few listens to get into but I think the guys had a lot of fun "doing jazz".

          Hew Time (Crover Plummer Willis)

Edit: Apparently inspired by Max Roachs M'Boom. So there.

                      she's an alien.

driving a van and shaggin blokes.

                      in glasgow.

there's a bit more to it than that, but if you haven't seen the fillum, you might still like the music.

and there's a v ltd vinyl soundtrack (50 only), out on Invada Records, home of Beak (Geoff Barrow project) and a bunch of other ltd vinyl things.

i'm doing an ambient set this Friday, just for you Phil.

then i'm going to kill you.

to a background of bleeps, beats and starless and bible black.
