I am pretty sure it's on an album by MM. Can't remember the title but the cover has a profile view of MM against a blue sky background. I think she's wearing a red dress and holding a red flower.

That's "made in France" and it's french I am afraid. The version I am looking for seems to be from the german version Soundtrack to Casino Royale.

The German version of the film, however, features a German adaptation of "The Look of Love" sung by Mireille Mathieu. To make room for her credit in the film titles, the credit for Jean-Paul Belmondo was removed in the German language version.

Ah, sorry about that. I was looking quickly at work where the youtube is blanked out.

Is that not ALL of them?

I've been hoodwinked by the lovely Ms Mathieu too many times. Every time I see an album or single I think "aaaah...." And then think "don't get fooled again, every record you've ever bought by her has been totally mediocre dross..." And, yet, i find myself thinking "THIS one is going to have a killer on it" and then am left feeling deflated and empty.

Still, fair play to her. I must have donated about £20 to charity over the years, thanks to her charms...

Indeed. I thought that french version of the Look of Love was the best thing she did but even then her harsh stentorian vocals are rather lacking in charm.

One for the record picture frame.

People seem to rate "Celui que j'aime" on here.

I put this one on my CD swap a couple of years back - great church organ intro and quite a groovy rhythm accompanying her trademark guttural warbling.

Still a big favourite with my kids...
