Being generally skint when it happened, I never really got much further than the Street Sounds comps, Mantronix and the odd later thing like Set It Off and Nitro Deluxe.

Mr Sayers put up a 1989 Tone Loc/Hashim vocoder fest recently that I really liked, but there must be loads more I need to hear.

Especially as my tutting is getting better all the time now that I´ve moved my mirror.

these are great. Vericheri and Audio Tech are really doing it for me. Haven´t had the opportunity to check the later posts, but there´s a good few I know and love there already, and a few I don´t know.

as far as I remember, they seemed to stop using electro as a marketing tag once house kicked off in 86/87. Nitro Deluxe Let´s Get Brutal is one of my favourite tunes ever, and is to me pure electro, but was marketed as house in the UK (they even changed the title).

Also, there was some stuff that didn´t fit neatly under any heading.
