Ok, here's what I like: Neu, Can, Faust, La Düsseldorf, Organisation(and early Kraftwerk too), some of the Amon Düül output...

I like it best when it's neither too straight nor too arty sounding...

How do you think I'd like some other bands I've heard of, but not heard - Harmonium, Ash Ra, Cluster...

I like The Motherhood, but it's rather Jazz (Doldinger) and Krokodil. Cosmophonic from the Soulstrut forum picked up a fantastic 45 by Krokodil last week. It was funky Kraut with heavy drums. Amazing stuff.
