Did I just see Hugh Laurie pretending to have an american accent, playing a tough, no-nonsense, crime-solving?? doctor on US network TV? Whoever pitched that deserves an OBE.

Yep, the show's called "House". Pretty good show, actually, the only one I watch every week. Some of the diseases they find are out there - last week it was leprosy - but entertaining, nonetheless.

Best Hugh Laurie show was him & Stephen Fry as Jeeves and Wooster which we had on PBS here in the States.

i sometimes think that I was meant to have the life of Bertie Wooster.
it would suit me far more than my current one of working/bills etc.

i seriously think there was a mixup at the hospital

Bloody Americans! What happened to your alleged work ethic and following the Dream?!

          As Monkfish, M.D. might say:
Stop faffing about, pull yer knickers up and put the kettle on!
