    I'd long assumed Chat Baker's vocal take to be untouchable . . . and then I heard this!

    At the moment I think this could be it. Been having a bit of a Frankie revival recently and this track has had a lot of plays. I've got loads of versions of this song - Ben Webster, Nina Simone, Mel Torme and, of course, Chet all do nice take but it must be up there as one of the most covered jazz standards so loads to pick from. Sammy Davis does a terrible one. I like that, too.

      That's killer , and it's not a song that I like very much. Just goes to show what a superlative arrangement can do. Who arranged it Hugh?

        that's a great version - not familiar with that LP, is the rest good?

        Chet version probably still at the top for me. I've always liked this Bobby Timmons one:
