    Shame
I love this doc on Horn
"Record collecting is no mere hobby, no innocuous leisurely diversion. It is a feverish passion bordering on dementia, driving those under the influence to irrational, compulsive, fanatical extremes."

A crying shame, such a loss.

                Inside will be on Tonight.

Also, any plussers know his version of El Toppo's Flute in the Quarry? I've seen it a few times offered on the bay but never took the plunge

Really saddened by this news. I adore his Columbia recordings and the 'Something Blue' LP. RIP Mr Horn.

                    RIP

Actually I know little about him. Nice to see respect being accorded here for his work, since my impression from a cursory look on the web was that he was a bit of a fringe figure.

As it happens, I ordered the Joy/Desert 45 the other day from discogs. Saw it talked up on the Orgyinrhythm blog some time back.

Jazz Suite On The Mass Texts is a thing of great beauty also.
