  • sticky stuff on covers

just pulled out my lovely Canned Funk lp. The outer plasticy sleeve its in was stuck to the lp cover because there is some residue from some old price sticker which has been removed. Not wanted this to cause any damage next time I pull the record and before I poor a liberal coating of saw dust on the lp to solve the problem I was wondering if there is a better slightly more professional approach.

ps feel free to argue over this you crappy lot you.

Lighter fluid - liberal application then wait a minute, carefully separate plastic sleeve and cover and wipe with damp kitchen paper. Might have to do it a couple of times.

I think you answered the question yourself if you're talking about removing sticker residue.
Get yourself some "sticky stuff" (that its retail name, Wilkinsons and Aldi sell it), put some on, two minutes later the residue is easy to rub/lift off.
And it has a lovely citrus smell

Its only £2.99 and has loads of other uses, and better than having a highly flammable liquid hanging around the house!!

Depends whether you're into arson or not.

white spirit eats up any sticker residue, also helps remove stickers from sleeves
