  • i-bidder vinyl auction

Not sure this is the right place to post this but here goes. I don't know if anyone is familiar with ibidder its one of the online services certain auction houses use to allow you to follow live and bid on auction house lots. Depending on the auction house there is a hefty deposit to pay and varying fees on top of the hammer price. I use it myself to bid on items from a couple of places in the Manchester area, furniture etc.

Anyway come across this auction in Milton Keynes which is all vinyl records and might be of interest to some. Unfortunately too far for me to go and collect but if anyone is nearby might be worth popping down to the viewing day and having a ganders. Saying that seems this looks to be one of their internet only auctions so probably not got a viewing.

Interesting but with a total of 30% premium plus VAT on top of the hammer price it's the most I've ever seen an auction house charge.

A lot of the auction houses are charging bonkers premiums these days certainly the ones dealing in bankruptcies and returns + 20% VAT as you say and you get charged 5% by ibidder for using their service.

Good info to have about these type of sales i.e. bankrupt/return, thanks.
The "normal" auctions that I've been bidding on have been charging minimum 14% inc VAT (bargain, but thats turning up to bid "in-house") up to 15% plus VAT plus 3% online fee. Some of the auction prices have been a bit high this month and I've won nothing. Tried two auctions today with a lot in each, the first went for double the top estimate, the second for top of the estimate (which I thought was overpriced).
