Provider of many a soundtrack to strange movies on the back of many an eyelid. Massively influential (whether you like them or not, there's no denying it). Very sad.

Yep, redefined the soundtrack in the eighties for a time, some classics from that era firestarter, wavelength, risky business, thief, sorcerer and the theme to street hawk! to name a few. Fair to say from the late eighties onwards they lost it though and became pretty much like any of the other synth based 'new age' bands in a scene they probably helped define. Candy Dulfer on sax, yikes, but still a huge body of work including his solo albums which are great.
Sad news, one of the first of the German bands I owned records by due to Virgin Records releases. It was years later that I heard all the early stuff. This compilation is well worth a watch, I love the band playing on the hillside, with cars passing by below.
