  • Record press find...13 of them!

    Here they are

Everyone tear down your own little wall
That keeps you from being a part of it all
Because you've got to be one with the one and all
You've just got to be close to it all

Thanks mate. Had seen the pics a while back but not the vid.

and 78 bootlegs to India. Blimey you learn something everyday. You know in all the years I have been on here I don't think I ever remember anyone talking about them.

        Amazing
I love the fact that vinyl is now such an antiquated medium that the equipment needed to produce records is collectable and rare itself!
        Fun blues soundtrack too
        Thanks for posting

I was a bit intrigued by that too. Sounds like a whole other story to be told.

Yep, they were used by Trax and had allegedly been used previously by either Stax or Chess records. There's some info out there about it http://news.acousticsounds.com/post....ion-of-presses

I hope there will be some kind of follow up story. It will be interesting to see any modifications made. Just to see them up and running would be great.

cheers for the link. house history right there. to think that loads of classics got pressed up on those machines, made millions dance like loons and quite a few copies ended up on my decks. awesome stuff.
