Oddly enough I found a copy of Copey's 'Brain Donor' single in Quality Save in Chorlton a few years back, but the best bargain I had from there was a 3CD box set of Andrew Poppy's recordings on ZTT for 99p - they haven't had anything as good as that in whenever I've popped in since - did they have any more 'Copendium's? Gotta be worth a quid - it's going for £25 on Amazon!
I reckon they must have bought a warehouse full of 90's cd's. I picked up a copies of Mr Scruff and Bentley Rhythm Ace's debuts and the wife for her sins plumped for a couple of David Gray albums on a trip out last year.
Was in a Poundland on Sunday and had a browse of their cd's, noticed they all had a 'Replay' sticker on them so googled it when I got home and it turns out its another outlet for 'Music Magpie' stock alongside their amazon 'zoverstocks' shop and their ebay 'estocks' account. I'd hazard a guess some of the more common releases they have a lot of get shunted out to Poundland on a 'sale or return' basis, but still worth a browse I bet the odd thing slips through the net. Apparently they have a similar deal on these pre-owned cd's with 'Morrisons' but they are a couple of quid in there.
Books are always worth keeping an eye on. TOTP was more interesting than I was expecting. All worth picking up for not much more than the daily newspaper.
