I saw BB King in concert some time ago. Excellent, obviously.
We were walking past the venue and there was advertising up that he was playing that evening, me and my girlfriend went in and asked if there were tickets. We were told it had been sold out for months - but they'd just had a single ticket returned.
I said I'd take it! turned to the gf, apologised, and went in. Great night.

Sad news...remember being in my teens and a mate coming round my house with a pile of newly acquired albums to spin, amongst which were a couple of BB King live albums of dubious legality....if I had any doubts about how exciting the blues could be, the sound of those women in the audience screaming like crazy soon dispelled them....wish I had those albums now...you can hear colours when they rhyme...

He will be missed .... I had the opportunity to see him live a few times and he was fabulous.
All in all this is a happy story about a musician, not that he is dead of course, but rather that he lived a long productive life doing what he enjoyed until the end.
