Remember when everyone was going ape on record store day trying to get hold of those Beta Band records a couple of years ago? Well they've just put them all out again. I see from discogs that someone paid £72 for one of those Champion Versions represses and £43 was the lowest. Now you can have one for £10.75.

Never heard of Maplewood Records from Orange County before. I have now, they have reissued the lesser spotted Glass Family - Electric Band album as a double lp. 1st lp is the original album as it was released. 2nd is how the band wanted it to sound apparently. Edition of 250. Sold out on the label site, but a few still knocking about online. 2nd press coming soon. One of the label owners is the son of one of the band, so I'm guessing this is with band approval.......well, you'd hope so!
Info on the release here http://www.maplewoodrecords.com/the-glass-family/

I've seen references to House of glass being released as a 45, but never even seen a picture of it. Does it exist? If it does I want it.

Don't you hate it when remixers just slap a vocal on top of a backing track because the tempo 'fits' - with no thought whatsoever for the key the song is in, chord progression, musical timbre, lyrical feel, etc? Having established that the four month gap between this vinyl being 'released' and it's actual availability was definitely not caused by problems in the art department, might we surmise that it took at least that long to sympathetically reconcile the work of the numerous participants, all of whom are capable of some great complexity in their melodies?

After a few listens, I'm definitely beginning to think it was worth the wait....

you can hear colours when they rhyme...
