    What made the "Amen Break" more exclusive (apart from the sampling of course) than say a drum roll etc.?
    In the case of Oasis using it, which I assume they used a live drummer.

    I don't know too much about breaks, and I'm certainly not techie savvy enough to manipulate them with any degree of skill. A couple of years back, I spent the afternoon at a friends house, he had just got a new sampler. He dug out Amen Brother, and we spent hours chopping and changing it. It seemed that any way we divided it up and welded it back together, it worked. I had no idea at the time about any of this stuff, but it did make me appreciate what is an apparently perfect break, and also the fun you can have messing around with technology......even if I didn't know what was going on
    Good luck to him, he deserves it.
