Yeah, someone reissue it. Amazing that no-one's thought to do this before.

I suppose when Licorice Soul re-issued the 45, the album was still gettable for about £25 or so - or had been until round about then. So who'd pay £20 for a re-issue? But those copies are long gone and the price has steadily been going up.

Fuz got a nice copy off Boney in Utrecht, with a laminated sleeve which I don't recall ever seeing before. Anyone else got a shiny one?!

        Original LP
        http://www.discogs.com/Roundtable-Sp...elease/2126658

Licorice Soul (Sie Vulture / Ed Theeman's label) released two tracks from it as a single in 2004.

As Divine says, mint copies of the original LP could be sourced for around the £25 mark for many years (I paid £30 about five years ago) but scarcity is now pushing that price up.

Is it worth picking up or is it a 1-2 tracker?

Whole album is good, but Scarborough Fair is the standout for me. And it came out on a Jay-Boy 45 😏 With "Saturday Gigue" on the flip.

Mine's a shiny one. It's a weird sort of laminate though, looks like someones just poured a sort of clear glue onto the sleeve.

I remember this laminate discussion at Utrecht. I just un-filed to check the cover situation. I too have a weird textured lamination.

I've had a few copies of this LP over the years and had two spares at one time. I have to say that the one Boney had for sale was the first one I've seen in a long time though. There used to be lots of copies of the Jay Boy 45 knocking about at one time too.

Great LP - pretty much unique sound to it although is there a relation between 'Saturday gigue' and Ken Moule's 'Mae west' track? I either read something or I've made something up.

Well, they're both written by Ken Moule - I suspect some of the non-medieval musicians are the same on both tracks too.

Probably someone like me who was clueless at the time of its initial renaissance and would have had no interest in a crumhorn at the time.

Mines matt... I've only seen the one copy in the wild, which is the one I picked up for a quid about 10 year ago, tricky bugger to turn up in my experience.
