Roger Dean work? Opinion please.

I bought some lp's today and there was this album with football players singing. Looks really bad music but the label is one I've never seen before. Studio One. The design seems to me to be by either Roger Dean or Martyn Dean but I can;t find any mention of it on the net.
I don't know how to post images so here is a copy on ebay. Have a look at the label and let me know if you think design is by him or am I just reading into things too much.

I don't know much about it as it probably an 'aussie rules' football album but I don't see 'Roger Dean' not his style at all he was all alien worlds and I think he used ink spraying.

What makes you think its Roger Dean?

There's a signature on the lower right. If you use the ebay zoom you can almost read it. Looks like 'Ripoll' or something - can't quite see it properly.
Def not Roger Dean though.

OK, thanks for your take on it. I was thinking it was one of the Dean brothers because the style to my mind is so reminiscent of the writing I have seen on labels and covers. Maybe Badger or somerthing. Not sure. Its just a feeling I got after seeing pretty much everything that Roger did and much of what Martyn did.

Brad, I could not see the Ripoll of signature you mentioned. I looked carefully.

Above the red horse logo bottom right - and above the last player on the right's boot.
Use the ebay 'zoom' and hover over that section. There's clearly a signature there.

Thanks. I see it. But I was posting about the label logo design. The illustrations on the cover never struck me as Dean Brothers and obviously (to my mind) Ripolli or whatever their name is, is not the same artist that did the Studio One design.

However, many of the key elements of Dali's style are missing from Footy Favourites. Elephants on stilts with castles on their backs, giraffes in flames, floating islands, swarms of ants, visual puns and being able to draw.

The label...someone trying to do a Roger Dean I reckon. Spacing and letterforms are way out of whack IMO. Also, It looks like late 70's..a time when Dean would have been very much in demand and not likely to take on a job like this.

Poor quality hand drawn logo on a minor Australian record label that just seems to issue football records. Of course it's Dean!

Ah, I see now, still don't think its Roger Dean as a teenage admirer of his work it doesn't look right to me.
