Funny you should mention this LP. I've been meaning to give it a spin for a few weeks when Mr Sayers drops by for our weekly record session but keep forgetting.
From memory its pretty good although how solid I can't recall. I'll definitely revisit this week.
As usual youtube can provide some tracks.
Few more on there if you want further tracks.

Ah nice one mate, had a quick scan and couldn't find anything myself. Came across someone selling one on ebay, about 60 quid I think, looked it up on discogs saw 'Howard McNair' on flute and thought it sounded interesting. I always thought 'Birds n Brass' was 'the' 'Rediffussion' album.
I've never seen a copy ever. I'd buy it like a shot for the cover alone.
Got hold of a digital copy its a mixture of freeish/fusion jazz with english psyche and prog overtones is my verdict. The male singer isn't the greatest (the woman is much better) but he holds it together and he hardly dominates proceedings lots of long jazzy instrumental parts.
Its most excellent, not got a clue what its supposed to be about, the life of man from birth to death I guess. It kind of reminds me of Aphroditie's Child - '666' in a way.
One strange album which is due a reissue surely!
Also a definite candidate for the 1001 albums thread if it ever reaches its total!
