  • 2016 death section

How's the 2016 death section of your collection shaping up? I've got records by:

    David Bowie
    Prince
    A Tribe Called Quest
    Papa Wemba
    A Motorhead single
A George Martin produced Beatles lp
    Nana Vasconselos
    Terry Wogan 45

I'm betting on Agnes to win this hands down.

I've got most of Allen Toussaint's Solo LPs.

I had a little display of sleeves in my Kallax which included Toussaint's Life, Love and Faith, Bowies Heroes, Prince's Kiss and Patti Smith's Horses (all black and white sleeves). Watch yourself Patti. I've taken the display down now, it was getting scary.

EDIT: Apparently Allen Toussaint died in November 2015, thank you for being too polite to mention it. Seems like part of the same run of things overall. Bowie was first for most of you, Toussaint was first for me. Also he was the first victim of the kallax of death.

Yep, Victoria Wood single and LPs. A dozen or so Ronnie Corbett records, as well as Paul Daniels, Frank Kelly, Terry Wogan and a good number of George Martin's comedy efforts. I got my first Bowie record as a record club lucky dip about a week before he died so feel kind of responsible for him too.

I don´t know if I still own a Billy Paul record, to be honest. I used to have 360 degrees but haven´t seen it for ages.

Didn't know about Lonnie Mack. Got some of his Fraternity 45s which are ace.
Only April too. That list is depressing. That's the way it goes I suppose.
Everyone tear down your own little wall
That keeps you from being a part of it all
Because you've got to be one with the one and all
You've just got to be close to it all
