  • Help me identify a record

I saw a record at Utrecht, the cover reminded me of the Fify Foot Hose - Cauldron album, but it was from a band called something like 4 - 2 - 2, 4 - 6 -6, 46 - 2 (so something with numbers)

Must've been a very rare record cause some guy asked for it and it was something like 500 €, and condition was maybe VG something.

Anybody any idea what it might be?

    Thanks

Only record with strange numbers is 'B-Xo/N-0-1-47a' on BYG by 'Anthony Braxton' but that's not so rare I wouldn't think so anyway and the numbers are represented in almost graph like format and his name is prominent alongside his mug. Lawd knows what he was on when he recorded it and came up with the title but I don't want any.

Was it Twenty Sixty Six And Then - Reflections on the future?
Seen that at Utrecht, in that ball park and more! Excellent German proggy stuff btw.

See what happens when you go out enjoying yourself in the evening? You lose focus!
      Kidding of course

It wasn't an Anthony Braxton record :-)
The name of the band was with numbers. And it wasn't the numbers band :-)
It looked like an obscure psych record

What year is that album Paul? It looks totally off its rocker! Cover is almost like an Optical Illusion.

'72 United Artists. It's one that tends to be up on the sellers walls (as opposed to in the boxes) at Utrecht. I'm no expert, someone with more info might be able to fill us in as to why it's a high ticket item. Probably the usual "poor seller at the time" story. There was one in the Omega auctions a couple of years back.

Well, don't take this as gospel, but...It's an excellent album, it didn't sell a lot at the time, and I think the master tapes were lost and any reissues have been made from pre-master reels or something like that. Could be wrong, but that's how I remember it. I have the Second Battle CD reissue.
