Anyone know what happened to the proposed dvd release? Seems to be another one of those "we have the footage, and they have the audio" stand-offs. Maybe ne'er the twain shall meet. Which would be a shame. Apparently the event was the result of The Grateful Dead pulling out of a Roundhouse show.

I believe that's possibly the earliest clip of Hawkwind. Could be wrong of course. Would love to see the whole dvd.

Yeah 'Hurry on Sundown' is first album material less synthy and a world away from 'doreme...'. I'd love to see the whole thing. Possibly the earliest Genesis clip I've seen too 'Looking for Someone' is from 'Tresspass' pre 'Steve Hackett'.

My favourite Hawkwind lp. Huw Lloyd Langton is magnificent on that. Mercurial lead runs worthy of Garcia & Cippolina in their golden era.

My mate went to see him in the 90's with his band and said he was blinding drunk but could still play and was nice as pie afterwards. I probably saw him at that 'Hawkfest' reunion I went to but I have no memory of it don't think he had passed away then anyway.

Fave Hawkwind album, I'm a massive Robert Calvert fan so would have to say 'Quark, Strangeness and Charm' I love that mid to late 70's period with him as lead singer. I also think their early 90's album 'It is the Business of the Future to be Dangerous' as a 3 piece, heavily synth driven is a lost gem. Alan Davey is like Lemmy x 100.
