Girl on a Motorcycle...

So, because you lot seem to make any collecting quirk I have seem reasonable, I hold you responsible for this side collection.

I've started collecting lps where the sleeve depicts a girl on a motorcycle. Most of them tend to be 70s comps or a clutch of Harry Stoneham records, but they have a certain... charm?


Any suggestions?

That's the one I saw covered in gluey goop the other day in the PVC sleeve think its the only one from that series of medley albums he did I don't have. I'll go for the obvious:



In fact I might be wrong but don't all his S2S albums apart from the parky one have girls on motorbikes? Seeing that one again 'Solid Gold Hammond' is certainly the creepiest looking one of the bunch.

I have both the hot hits and all the Harry Stoneham's with motorbikes. That kraut set is a must! plus Mrs Down Heavy will be fine with those as she's a bit of a Kraut fan. I wanted to put them all up on the wall in some kind of 'tasteful' display but there is definitely a NSFW thread them which I can't convince anyone is 'tasteful'.

I hadn't cross referenced the collection and so now face palming over the Born Losers OST and the Janis Joplin greatest hits... such a fool.

There are no explicit rules. They don't have to be ON the motorbike... it doesn't have to be a motorbike (I have some comp with a girl on a moped in front of big ben)... in fact there doesn't need to be a motorbike at all... like Bert Weedon's deceptive Hell's Angels cover... I know what I mean.
