Burt Kwouk's death made me look at this, but I've only just noticed it rips off the James Bond theme.

So does this, which I mentioned on the cheap Brazil thread

Any more Bond borrowings? Is the Bond theme a rip off of anything else?

I have heard ripoffs used for soundtrack in (probably primarily Italian) James Bond ripoff movies but I can't remember any titles. Of more direct interest for the thread a few years ago I stumbled upon this which is a fun watch:

"Only one thought left, that makes me come alive,
and that is you and me side by side, on the licorice ride"

Didn´t know the Roberto Roena, but it's ace.

The Guy Mitchell sounds like it was inspired by 16 Tons, which is also based on a regular four-note motif.

Enjoyed the video, although I don´t think Beat Girl really fits apart from being twangy. I'm guessing Peter Gunn was just as much of an influence.
