Figured this would be a good place to ask...
Can anyone add to this list of albums, that for me all have a similar vibe (at least in moments);
Brigitte Fontaine- S/T (1972)
Francois Hardy- Le Question
Gainsbourg- Melody Nelson
Leo Ferrer- Amour, Anarchie Vol. 1/2
Jean Pau Verdier- Vivre
Basically more French folky albums that are from this early 70s era, with softly spoken vocals, Brazilian influence, clean electric guitars, picked electric bass, fender rhodes etc...
The kind of music that sounds like Stereolab basically
No loud/belting chanson singing. Female breathy sexiness or men reciting poetry only
If they're not hundreds of pounds even better. I was all up for buying 'la question' as soon as I heard it but swiftly retreated back into my hole when I saw the prices
Thanks!
