  • What is the Holy Grail private press record of your home county(uk) ?

This thread was promted by another thread, and made me aware that im not even aware of the Holy Grail record of the county i live in. Although its possibly the Wild Boys 'Last One Of The Boys' 45, which i believe to be Warwickshire.
I can remember Saint Jude going off on a CSC to east anglia to try and find a private press 45 from there, and unluckily copped some empty pic sleeves of said record. I m guessing that must be one from there but cant remember what it was.
So do you know the Holy Grail private press record from your current home county?
Or frankly do you even care, and do i need to get out a bit more...

Coming from Glasgow, for many years before it even surfaced, my digging mantra was "Captain Marryat, Captain Marryat..."!

I would also love to find a copy of that Andy mate.

This is a fairly desirable private press from my neck of the woods -

This reasonably well known one from Cornwall

The ultimate Cornish grail.....Not quite sure if these count, as they sit somewhere between acetate and private press 45. Only small numbers were pressed for band and friends. The Reaction, or Johnny Quayle and the Reaction, Roger Taylor's pre-Queen band.

Cornwall represents! Nice to see the photos.
The only private press i have from that sort of area would be Devon.
Moor "confidence song" "talking about life" 45
Do you know if this is obscure or collectable?
                Cheers

Not sure about that Devon 45, not come across it before. Do you have any more info?

Here's a Devon grail. Sleaze, TV Smith's pre-Adverts band. Only 50 copies pressed with hand written insert.

Its sort of folky, one side is pretty decent, but its not my genre and not played it for ages. Nice minty copy though.

For Worcestershire i would make a guess at the Fruit and Veg label, but im completely biased as its from the avenue i lived in as a kid :-)

Satans Rats 45s are rarer, but they had been picked up by a major label Djm? Picked up all 3 in Worcestershire for 50p each.
Ollie the drummer went to our school.
Im also biased as its a great track with intro break. Whadda ya mean you didnt know the Dancing Did invented Trip Hop in 1980?
