Looking for Bio of Rita Williams

Hello,
Over the years i've acquired 78s of the singer Rita Williams mostly on the Embassy Label,but i've tried researching into her and found very little, i think she had a lovely voice all i do know is it appears she died quite young only 50 in 1971.
Can anyone here tell me about her life or career as i am very interested in her and often wonder why she wasn't a chart topper like Ruby Murray or Alma cogan

I wasn't aware she recorded as a solo artist, I'm more familiar with her as leader of the Rita Williams Singers who worked a lot as backing singers (and occasionally artists in their own right), quite often with Geoff Love.
