          turn up the bass and Buddy Greco's version of "What's Going On" is pretty groovy, from this Tony Hatch produced LP:


          can't read all the Telegraph obituary because of the paywall, but didn't he live in Southend for a long time? Always seems a bit incongruous, sort of Stella Street-style when US stars live in pretty ordinary places.

            He did (which was news to me until I read the obit) - he loved the place by all accounts:

                      I had a copy of this in my hand in a charity shop a week ago (at which point I didn't know of his passing). In the end I left it, might go back and see if it's still there.
