  • Proper mailers...

Forgive me for this boring thread but...

I need to buy some proper mailers... as I've been buying less online due to the US postage / weak pound situation... so my stash for re-use has grown very thin.

You know the ones... For Lp's, NOT the envelope kind that Americans moan about dinging corners... sourced from the UK preferably.

I've never had to buy them before so where do people recommend?

    Thanks in advance...

I used the cruciform ones, but had complaints the corners were getting bent. so I also need some.

the amazon ones, all in one fold over and seal types are good.

    ive always used soundswholesale

I use these cruciform Musicmax mailers, work well, especially with a few records. Not had any complaints.

But I think the Lil mailers are probably the don dada of the mailer world. Just a bit steep pricewise innit.

£9.48 for 5 looks more like nearly £2 each. Or am I missing something?

Well that's for 5 but you can get 50 for twice the money.

I'm a big player in the mailer market Tom B - I only buy 100 at a time.

If I just needed a piddling 5, I'd make 'em myself out of a couple of old cardboard boxes!

I thought there must be more to it... Weird marketing though, to bury away the cheaper bulk buy price. I guess they know their market

Yep, only ever buy 25/50. And you get a free 'Fragile' tape as well. Amazing.

These are the best stiffeners out there: http://www.magtags.co.uk/index.php?r...tegory&path=17
twice as heavy (60g), & stiff. as standard ones, that's the larger 328mm sq ones.
