Felt the same way after Sun Burned hand of the Man gig...and on top of that it was at a Workingmens club which basically meant all drinks were a third of the price....six pints of beer plus 2 whisky and cokes plus one vodka lemonade and a bag of nuts cost lest than £10
Always wanted to see Sunn O live....
Country be dyin like poor people do Hospitals be closing...doors to me and you (Lopazz - Blood)
It was great!
Heavy guitar/moog/electronics drones, feedback and insanely slow metal riffs.
It's amazing that a band can play one 90 minutes long slowmotion stretched out song and still keep the audience attention and appreciation.
Cool druid outfits too...
The bass roared and rumbled so I felt I'd been given a full body massage when I got home...

Do they sound like Sleep? Like Sabbath played really, really slow? Read a lot about them and they sound interesting...
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Sleep. But yeah, there's some Black Sabbath but played so slow it often sounds more like drones - but the riffs they play are definately in the Sabbath vein. There's no drums or bass - just 2 guitars tuned down very very very much. Then there's additional drones and noise from one guy with a mini-moog and one guy with homebuilt electronics.
There's a vocalist too who whispers ominously and sings and moves the mic in front of his mouth to create the illusion of talking backwards, hard to make out words but it sounded like latin.
The result is somewhere between metal, noise and psychadelia - but still not. Quite hard to describe the sound accurately.
